So many people are excited about the new iPhone and iPhone upgrade that came out this week. To be honest, I AM ONE OF THEM. I’m waiting patiently for my new iPhone 3GS to arrive from FedEx (please skip everyone else and come directly to my house). I love new technology and I love upgrading. This love for the newest and best technology got me thinking about another type of upgrade.
Everytime I plug in to God through prayer and Bible study I have the opportunity to upgrade spiritually. God always wants to speak to me through His written Word. He always has an answer for me when I pray. Sometimes the answer is YES, sometimes NO, and sometimes WAIT. But He always answers!
God is always ready with a new upgrade for me. The question becomes this: Am I ready to download it? I don’t have to wait for a certain new release date. It’s not a once a year deal. God has an update ready for me whenever I’m ready to receive it. I’m not waiting on Him; He is waiting on me!
Anytime I’m ready to download more joy I can. Anytime I need to upgrade my attitude I can. Anytime I need to clean out negative thought files I can. I can…if I allow God to help me with a spiritual update. God help me to get more excited about spiritual upgrading than I am about updating my iPhone. AMEN!
